One year on
Time really flies and even more so, once you get older. But
there is some scientific explanation behind all of this and it has somehow to
do with changes in the core temperature of the human body, I think.
But it also seems that demands on our time increase and thus
we just don't seem to have enough.
One year on, we received a mail indicating a change in our
distribution line up.
Not something once wants to hear at the beginning of a new
year.
It resulted in a turbulent year, feelings similar of being
thrown out of a familiy. Maybe similar of how one felt, when moving out from
home and had to fend for oneself.
Of course one makes mistakes, takes wrong turns and end up
in acrynomious exchanges. but it sharpens perception and the requirement of
survival makes one to look for new opportunities and solutions.
These solutions are evolving, starting with the launch of
our own, new product, allowing us to build on the foundation already laid. But
2019 will see us to move into a wider field of activities....stay tuned.
One Year on, almost, I received a Cochlear Implant after
having lost hearing in one ear to a virus infection. It was an interesting
experience. Not quiet achieving what we expected, since some of the hearing
nerve end seem to be damaged beyond recovery, but on the other hand, I would
miss the device if it was not there (something my surgeon predicted).
So if you have hearing issues and a Cochlear implant can
help, do it. In Australia it is deemed to be a prosthesis and covered largely
by health insurance (pls. check wit your own fund). I paid less the $1,000 for
a $30,000 operation and technology.
And, what I was fearing did not come true, nobody ever made
a comment about the cable, which apparently comes out from under my hair and
leads to the hearing device...a great relieve.
One year on.....sure you have your own stories to tell. So
enjoy life and make the best out of it.
