Setting up our PMQ video wall stand for the first time alone?
A few months ago we introduced PMQ from Italy as a new brand in our product line-up. PMQ is manufacturer for video and LED wall components and located on the out skirts of Milan.
A really nice, family owned company with very traditional
ideas about engineering and quality and great facilities. If they would build
aircraft you would have no hesitation to fly in them, because everything
appears so neat.
But I am digressing. At Integrate at the end of August we
got our first 3 x 2 wall set-up for our heavy 46" eyevis LCD screens.
My team set the wall up and I could only admire how well
everything fit together.
But yesterday afternoon, after we have prepared the space in
our new warehouse, I decided to have a go myself and without any manual.
Typical male.
I am surprised how well this all went. Every frame fitted
perfectly in the positioning slots and the screw threads worked just fine, no
cross threading no twisting or pushing, just to get them in.
Quality engineering and manufacturing, just like I am used
to from Germany and Japan.
So, PMQ? Another brand amongst the plethora of Video Wall
stands?
Not just. In addition to the quality steel frames, they also
have invented a soft release for front access video wall screens. No need to
push the surface of the screen, just a gentle tug at the small lip protruding
between the screen and they slide forward. Just great.
We will order PMQ screens as required, once we have a better
idea about your requirements. The same also with their LED mounting product. So
please allow a bit more time for supply. But the wait will be worth it.
And for service? Each frame part has a serial number, so it
is easy to order replacements or extensions, since all can be traced back.
